Amberina crystal glass collection of bottles and trays by Baccarat

This refined crystal glass toilet set was crafted by the skilled craftsmen at the Baccarat firm. Established in 1764, Baccarat is considered one of the finest French glass manufacturers and this collection is a testament to their superb work.

The collection consists of 15 pieces and includes 13 bottles and 2 trays. The bottles are made from a stunning red and white crystal known as amberina, the colour transition following the flow of the swirls.

The pieces are wonderfully modelled, most with diagonal, wavelike ridges spiralling along the bodies. Some bottles are of a more rounded silhouette and others are square creating an interesting combination of shapes. The selection of bottles is topped by a rounded stopper, too with a spiral design. As the spirals flow towards the top of the bottles their colour turns from peach to deep red. Four bottles terminate with silvered metal toppers, for example, acting as an atomizer.

The two trays are of a similar design as the bottles but with more defined spirals. A raised, frosted glass rectangle extends upwards from the smaller tray, most likely acting as a jewellery holder.

This extensive collection would add charm and elegance to one’s dressing table.
