Description

This dinnerware set consists of a number of porcelain plates, similar in style to Meissen pieces but French in origin, each decorated with a painted floral motif in vibrant polychrome. Many plates feature a trio a beautifully painted flowers in a ring around the centre; some feature a single major flower in the centre with offshoots around the rim, in each case the execution is faultless and the decoration really lifts and gives vitality to each piece.

The plates are gold-painted around the rim, and bear a variety of makers' marks.

Largest plate: 36cm in diameter, 5cm in depth
Smaller plates: 23.5cm in diameter, 2.5cm in depth.
