Description

This elegant fire screen is unusually designed. The screen, which features a carved mahogany tripod foot surmounted by a moulded and engraved gilt metal stem, is designed to shield the face of a person from the heat of an open fire. The stem is mounted with an adjustable T-frame, from which is suspended an embroidered tapestry—the screen of the fire screen. The tapestry depicts an Alpine lakeside scene.
