This elegant fireplace fender is crafted from brass in the Baroque style. The fender features a central section centred with a mount comprised of twin griffons framing a trophy, all above a pierced brass frame. The end sections are similarly formed, each featuring an ornate form comprising a baluster shaped element surmounted by a flambeau, all above pierced brackets set with further griffons. The piece is mounted with various classicising details, such as acanthus leaves, scallop shells, and draped garlands, all wrought deftly from brass.
