Featuring a sumptuous and extensive marquetry pattern that adorns every surface and edge, this wonderful antique table was made in France in the early twentieth century.
With a tripod structure of three legs joined by a triangular base, every facet of this beautiful piece is inlaid with bright marquetry designs, depicting large vases on the upper surface, birds, and flowers in an intricate and extensive array. Scrolling motifs adorn the round scrolling elements of the wooden structure, while a large circular sunburst intricate design adorns the centre.
The beautiful and radiant quality of the marquetry more than justifies the lack of bronze mounts or other addition: the marquetry itself in tandem with the clean, curving design of the structure alone serve to create a stunning antique interior addition.
