The tea set is comprised of a tea pot, a sugar bowl, and a milk jug, all of which are wrought from silver. The silver throughout the three pieces is decorated with a variety of silver working techniques, including repoussé (where the silver is hammered from the reverse side to create a design in low relief), chasing (where the silver is hammered on the front side, sinking the metal), and engraving (creating fine surface detail). These three techniques are used in combination to create rich, detailed hunt scenes that encompass the body of each piece. Each of the three pieces is mounted with elephant head form handles and spouts, while the lid of the tea pot is surmounted by an elephant form finial.
The three pieces are marked underside 'C. K. C. & Sons Bangalore / Silver'.
