This fine wall mirror is crafted from ebonised walnut in the ornate style that prevailed during the Belle Époque. The oval mirror is set within a moulded walnut frame, which is further set with twin carved oak and beech branches, which are tied together with ribbons at the bottom of the frame and curve up each side towards the top—all in a superb demonstration of wood carving. The branches are laden with delicately carved leaves and are set below with twin love birds. Three putti adorn the frame: two play with a rose bud at the mirror’s crown, while one is set into the beech branch on the right hand side.
