The vase, by Franz Hansel (Czech, 1802-1883), has a ruby glass body that is campana shaped and faceted all around. It is finely engraved to one side with a depiction of a Turkish warrior on his horse. The cover, finial rim and spreading foot are all finely cut with petal shaped lobes.
