Description

This delicate flower model is crafted from a selection of hardstones and celebrates fine Chinese craftsmanship.

The planter is filled with blue, green, purple, and pink flowers and leaves, all placed on black ground. The edges of the base and the lip of the planter are gold accentuating the fine gold metal wiring used in the cloisonné enamelling.

Emerging from the planter is a metal trunk from which extends several branches. These are crafted from thread-covered wire, and each terminates with jade leaves and carnelian flowers. Vivid yellow beads are used for the stigmas. The translucent properties of the carnelian are beautifully emphasized when the light shines onto the model.

Of a charming size, this floral model is a superb addition to one’s collection of objet d’art.
