This beautiful vase and cover is carved from tiger’s eye in high relief with traditional Chinese forms and motifs. The vase is raised on three elephant feet, the bulbous body featuring two handles wrought to resemble grotesque dragons, each issuing breath of fire. The removable cover is surmounted with a crouching ‘Foo Dog’ finial. The vase has been carved in such a manner to display the beautiful, lustrous quality of tiger's eye.
