English Victorian period circular marquetry breakfast table

The breakfast table stands on a triform base, which is finely decorated with marquetry flowers, and set on three large scrolled paw feet. The table top is supported on a central triangular stem, which features similar floral marquetry work. The circular table top is finely decorated with a dark outer band, containing delicate orange, pink and yellow marquetry flowers.  At the table’s centre, there is a second dark band, decorated with orange marquetry scrolling vines and rosettes. This frames a detailed marquetry depiction of a bird, surrounded by flowers and accompanied by a butterfly. The table top can be tilted to the side, enabling one to properly view and appreciate the detail of the marquetry work.
