The walnut breakfast table stands on three cabriole legs which terminate in foliate scrolled feet. These feet are set on castors (wheels). The legs develop from a single shaped stem which supports a large circular top.
This table top is finely decorated with marquetry work. It features an outer marquetry border composed of stylised leafy scrollwork, and a central medallion containing marquetry scrolls and flowers. The space between this marquetry ornament is decorated with natural patterns created by the walnut grain. The top is hinged, allowing it to be tilted down so that one can properly admire the detail of the marquetry work.
