Description

This beautiful table clock is crafted in the fashion of Fabergé. The clock features a circular body, the front surface of which is finished with purple guilloché enamel. The exterior edge of the clock is encompassed by a gold frame, which is cast with a foliate beading. The clock dial, inscribed with stylised Arabic numerals, is centrally mounted, encompassed by a gold mount inset with a ring of pearls. The guilloché enamel surface of the clock is mounted on the lower half with a pair of gold crossed laurel branches, tied with a bow, and inset with a white precious stone. The top half of the body is mounted with a gold crown. The clock stands on two ball feet and is supported by a scrolled easel backing.

The movement of the clock is stamped with a spurious Fabergé mark and the mark ‘84’, in addition to a number of engraved signatures.
