The central stem of the chandelier is built from ormolu, and issues three tiers of scrolling arms. Teardrop-shaped droplets of rock crystal are attached via a metal chain to each of the scrolling arms. The base of the chandelier consists of a circular ormolu platform which issues nine scrolling ormolu arms terminating in tulip-form lights and circular drip pans. A large circular droplet of rock crystal hangs from the base of the chandelier.
