French ormolu and enamel miniature carriage clock

This elegant miniature carriage clock features a Neoclassical style ormolu frame, the edges modelled as fluted Corinthian columns and the top as an entablature. The case is surmounted by an ornate ormolu handle. The sides of the clock are inset with enamel plaques painted in imitation of Sèvres porcelain, while the base and top are inset with similar panels of landscape scenes. The front face of the clock features an ornate scrolling pierced foliate mount, which envelopes the white enamel dial. The clock is accompanied by a fitted velvet-lined leather travel case, which is open to the front to reveal the clock face, and set with a carrying strap.
