Description

The bronze sculpture shows a bacchanal group, or a group of revellers. It depicts a seated woman holding an infant and gesturing to another infant below. The group is raised on a naturalistic circular base, which bears the signature 'Clodion'. It is based on a sculpture of Clodion's during the 18th Century.
