The desk set comprises two inkwells, a stamp, an envelope holder and a miniature picture holder. The base stands on four toupie feet and is of a curved rectangular form, enameled all over in a turquoise guilloche enamel. Around the edges the base is heavily mounted with silver gilt in foliate forms. The stamp is set to the centre, and the inkwells set to either side. The letter holder is formed of two intricately curled sheets of silver gilt to the back of the stand, and the picture frame is set atop a tall, curled strand of silver gilt. Each of the items feature rose diamonds.
