Comprising seven splendid side chairs and three sumptuous armchairs, this giltwood palazzo suite was crafted in Italy in the nineteenth century. The ten chairs are richly decorated in an elaborate Baroque style, with the armchairs embedded with cabochons, and a variety of scrolling acanthus motifs and carved flowerhead frames arcing around the vibrant green upholstery. The upholstery material is a later addition, which adds a level of vibrancy and modernity that complements the rich antique frames and decoration and makes the objects fit for purpose. With only some minor variations in dimensions, each side chair is approximately 56cm wide, by 50cm deep and 109cm high; while each armchair is approximately: 68cm wide, by 60cm deep and 109cm high.Â
