Crafted in the Rococo style by experts from the Austrian firm of Schwarz & Steiner, the rare and extensive garniture would superbly adorn an impressive dinner table.
This stunning five-piece garniture was expertly crafted by skilled artists from the important Austrian firm of Schwarz & Steiner in the late 19th century. Designed in the Rococo style, the set features numerous asymmetrical and flowing motifs.
The set comprises a large jardinière with six light branches, a pair of vase-form candelabra each with three light branches and a pair of bowls. The silver elements are magnificently cast in several variations of flowing acanthus leaves in addition to C and S scrolls. These are synonymous with the Rococo style popular in the 18th century. The bulbous and refined glass pieces superbly fit into the silver mounts. The clearness of the crystal and shimmer of the silver beautifully complements each other creating an elegant and eye-catching garniture, filled with romantic imagery.
The silver is hallmarked and includes the maker's mark.
Of a very impressive design, the garniture highlights the beauty of the Rococo period and celebrates the expert work of Austrian craftsmen. Its attention-grabbing size will make an exceptional addition to one’s luxurious table spread.
