This work is comprised of a large vase set on a matched pedestal. The pedestal stands on a slim, square plinth with canted edges. The base of the pedestal is smooth and shaped, and the columnar body above is fluted. An acanthus leaf band decorates the top of the column and is topped by a simple capital.
The vase that stands on the pedestal has a circular foot and a simple smooth socle with a foliate top. The main body of the vase is fluted and features a decorative band around its centre, carved with grotesque masks and scrolling foliage. Fitted onto the shoulders of the vase are two elaborate handles which take the form of dragons, with arched necks and long curling tails. The vase has a floral collar and smooth flared neck which leads up to a wide mouth edged with leaves.
