The silver menorah features eight candle-holders held by layers of scrolling branches, four on each side of the central support. The central column is intricately detailed along its length in the repousse technique and features an eagle finial which converts to a ninth candle holder, the shammash. Below the shammash there is a removable oil jug in silver that can be attached to a small bracket. The base of the column is formed in the shape of a semi-sphere and ends in four paw feet.
The menorah was created by the Hadad Brothers. The Hadad Brothers is an important factory which specialises in the creation of silverware and Judaica. The company was established in 1964 by the brothers Tzvi and Haim Hadad and it continues to be in business today.
