Description

This fine German porcelain plaque is after Raphael’s famous ‘Madonna della tenda’, and oil painting from c. 1513. The plaque depicts the Madonna embracing the child Christ, while the infant John the Baptist watches from behind. The Raphael is currently held within the Alte Pinakothek in Munich.

The present plaque is contained within an ornate carved giltwood frame.
