The design of this sophisticated floor lamp is inspired by Classical Greek architecture and shows features related to its history in a modern way.
The bowl topping the lamp is wonderfully carved from bright white alabaster. The naturally occurring light pink and brown colouration on the stone adds an exciting and subtle feature to the overall design. The same material is also used for the stepped base on which the lamp construction rests. Four patinated iron feet are attached to the alabaster base.
An elongated gilt metal stem extends from the alabaster base and joins the delicate bowl. Shaped patinated iron frame, its shape reminiscent to the outline of ionic columns, particularly popular within Greek architecture. Shining gilt metal detailing adorns the capital as well as fills the volutes.
