Description

The oil painting of Samson and Delilah is after the original by Anthony van Dyck dated 1618/20, which is held in the Dulwich Picture Gallery, London. The painting depicts Samson who lies sleeping across the lap of Delilah as she instructs a barber to cut his hair. The painting bears a striking similarity to the Van Dyke original.
