Description

This unusual pair of small candlesticks is crafted from Egyptian silver. Each candlestick is wrought in the manner of a Renaissance style dolphin, a motif common to European decorative art during the past five hundred years, but particularly prevalent in Baroque and Baroque style pieces. The candlesticks are skillfully cast and finished with delicate engraving, with the mouth of each serving as the candleholder.

Each candlestick is marked to the tail with an Egyptian hallmark.
