Description

The pair of baluster form veined grey marble vases features fine ormolu (gilt bronze) mounts wrought in the Empire style. The vases are surmounted with ormolu covers, topped with ormolu pinecone finials. The ormolu mounts are delicately cast and finished into ribbon-tied floral swags that issue from the handles, which are shaped into elegantly curved swan necks and heads. Each vase sits on an ormolu waisted socle, which in turn is supported by a square grey marble base with scalloped corners.

The covers of the vases can be removed to reveal lamp fittings.
