Wonderfully crafted from clear cut and engraved glass, the design of these chandeliers is inspired by the French Belle Époque period of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Both chandeliers feature an identical design. From the upper cut glass bowl surmounting the pieces extend six curved arms, each one terminating with a cut glass flower. From these hangs a delicate pendant attached to two variously sized upside-down flowers centred by a speared pendant.
The central stem is formed from a large cut glass piece adorned with geometric patterns.
Glass lights are shaped in the form of elegant hurricane shades with gently wavy and flared rims extend from the six rope-like glass arms. Each light is expertly etched with a selection of flowing floral motifs. The shades sit on a flower-shaped cut glass piece further highlighting the nature-inspired theme. The base of both chandeliers terminates with a dome-shaped cut glass piece framed by droplets and speared pendants. These are surrounding an additional two flower-shaped pendants with a single droplet in the middle.
This pair of magnificent chandeliers would make an exceptional addition to both traditional and modern interior spaces.
