Crafted from carved giltwood and designed in the decadent Rococo style, this superb pair of pedestals would suit any interior, whether traditional or contemporary.
The fine giltwood pedestals in this pair are also known as torchère stands, their function once being to serve as supports for large candles. Each pedestal features a tripod base with scrolled giltwood feet, above of which is a moulded baluster form column carved with foliate motifs. The column of each pedestal supports a circular top, likewise carved with intricate foliate designs. The pair is a fine example of the Rococo style.
