Crafted in the lavish, indulgent, Baroque Louis XV style, these beuatiful wall-lights were made in France in the late nineteenth century, and feature elegantly interweaving gilt branches that finish in floral motifs which form the lighting mounts.
In the late nineteenth century many earlier styles, such as the Louis XV, enjoyed a resurgence, with many pieces incorporating a range of influences to create beautiful pieces that combined modernity with the grandeur and style of the past. These wares are an excellent example of this creative phenomenon.
Holding aloft three lighting-mounts each, these elegant gilt works are in excellent condition, exemplify this style beautifully, and would make a bright, welcome addition to any interior.
