The floor-standing candelabra in this pair are crafted from painted and ebonised wood in the ornate Baroque style. Each candelabrum is modelled as a free-standing figure, set in an animated, legs-parted pose, with one arm held aloft and the other spread in counterbalance. The figures, which stand on entablature-form plinths finished with gilt accents and coats of arms, wear brightly painted clothing. Each figure holds aloft a four-light candelabrum, which is modelled in metal as the flowering end of a leafy vine, which winds its way down beside the figure and is set into the top of the plinth.
