Description

Each candelabrum in this pair is formed entirely from finely cast and silvered bronze. The seven candle holders of each candelabrum are shaped to resemble flower buds and are set above foliate drip pans. The candle holders spring from scrolling, ornately ornamented curvilinear foliate branches. The central supporting stem is shaped around two ovoid forms, resembling an inverted ampersand, and is decorated throughout with acanthus leaf and other moulded foliate motifs. The socle of each candelabrum stands on a circular shaped base.
