Description

Each with winged figures of Victory holding aloft multi candelabra with scrolled branches each terminating in drip pans and nozzles, whilst standing on spheres.

These impressive candelabra with winged figures of Victory derive from a design for similar candelabra by the architect Charles Percier as part of a commission to furnish Empress Josephine's bedroom at the chateau de St. Cloud. Two further pairs were supplied to the Boudoir in the Petit Trianon in 1809 and the Grand Trianon also in 1809.
