The pair of gilt bronze chenets are modelled in the French Rococo, or Louis XV style, designed with a curvaceous and scrolling form. Each chenet has been finely cast with sculptural depictions of a putto leaning inwards and holding a draped garland of flowers; all resting on a scroll support. The two chenets are inversely modelled as an exact pair.
