The console tables stand on four iron legs which terminate in bun feet. These legs are linked by iron stretchers. The legs support the table tops which feature flat backs and shaped fronts. These tops are inlaid with a variety of marbles. The marbles are cut into square blocks and arranged in cross-hatched patterns. The table tops are edged with bands of yellow and variegated red marble.
The specimen marble tops were created in Italy in the 18th Century, and the iron supports were added at a later date.
