The exceptionally large pair of antique English mirrors are carved in giltwood in the Rococo style. Except for the cornice, their delicate and whimsical detailing is almost entirely symmetrical. The ornately carved designs feature scrolling, stylised acanthus leaves and shell motifs, as well as small flowers and botanical shapes. The mirrors feature two larger central mirror panels, and are bordered by many individually framed mirror panels, achieving the effect of architectural panelling.
