Description

The cabinets are pedestal-shaped, with tall rectangular bodies on bases. Each cabinet contains five graduated drawers whcih feature cut-out handles. These drawers are contained behind lockable doors, their fronts decorated with classical style marquetry designs. These depict twin-handled urns which are draped with stylised husk trails. The urns are positioned above scrolled vines, which are decorated with flowers and acanthus leaves, and enclose stylised anthemion motifs. The doors of the cabinets are topped by friezes which are painted with red and green anthemion and lotus flowers, as well as beaded arches. The cabinets are covered by flat tops with banded edges.
