The silver servers include a fish slice and fork. Designed in the Albany pattern, the handles of these items are fluted and terminate in points with ball finials. The heads of the fish slice and fork are both pierced with panelled forms.
These silver servers were created in 1910 and 1911 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd, an important retail jewellers and silversmiths. The company was founded in 1880 in London by William Gibson and John Lawrence Langman. In the late 19th Century, the firm absorbed the Goldsmiths’ Alliance Ltd and established itself as the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd. In 1952, the firm was amalgamated with Garrard & Co.
