The surfaces of the cabinet, including the face of the drawer and cupboard door, are veneered with geometrical marquetry designs. Each cabinet is set with fine ormolu mounts, including foliate mounts to the corners below the top and acanthus leave brackets to the shoulders of the cabriole legs. Each leg terminates in an ormolu cabriole sabot.
The cabinets are affixed with plaques indicating they were retailed by the celebrated Parisian furnishers Au Gros Chêne.
