This beautiful pair of silver and crystal claret jugs, crafted by the esteemed Charles Hack, are designed in the wonderfully ornate Rococo Revival style.

Description

Each claret jug in this pair features an ovoid glass body, the glass surface fluted and incised with floral forms. Each jug sits on a silver base, the silver likewise decorated with embossed foliate and floral motifs in the Rococo Revival style. The neck of each is mounted with silver, similarly decorated, the hinged lid opening to wide mouth, and an ornate, scrolled handle joined to the shoulder below. The glass is beautifully finished, and the silver throughout superbly formed. The silver is fully hallmarked for Charles Hack.
