Description

Made in France in the early twentieth century, these wonderful and charming animalia knife rests are crafted in the manner of Christofle, his work itself based upon designs by the famed Swiss Cubist sculptor Edouard Marcel Sandoz. Set within a fitted case, the rests come in six pairs, and the set is comprised of a lion, a dove, a monkey, an eagle, an elephant, and a lobster. In a style combining Cubism and Art Deco, these objects are delightful examples of modern animalia design.

Case: 5cm high x 24cm wide x 24 in depth.
Elephant: 3cm high x 9cm wide x 1.5cm in depth.
