The set of five miniature musical instruments comprises a piano and four other stringed instruments. The piano is set on silver cabriole legs and features floral decorations in silver with a turquoise lid. The other instruments are all set on silver stands on turquoise plinths, and feature similar scrolling floral and figural decorations in silver.
The set was made in Vienna in the late 19th Century, when the city was renowned worldwide for its music.
