Description

The four models in the set are similarly designed. They feature white porcelain jardinières (plant pots) with C-scrolled sides which are parcel gilt and highlighted by turquoise and light purple washes of paint. The centres of the jardinières are decorated with paintings of flower bouquets. Bunches of flowers with metal leafy stems and porcelain blooms spring from the jardinières. The porcelain flower heads have been finely modelled and variously painted light pink, yellow, blue, green and purple. The undersides of the jardinières feature blue-painted crossed swords after the mark of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory.

These items are truly beautiful pieces of sculpture which will look perfect placed on a mantelpiece, windowsill or table in a well-furnished interior.
