This superb bird model depicts a perched falcon. The model of the bird is realistically carved from richly veined zebra stone, the top of the falcon a warmer brown than the underside, which is buff grey. The bird has naturalistic talons wrought from silver-gilt, while the glass eyes feature a silver-gilt surround, as does the black beak. The bird is perched atop domed velvet stand, which is supported on a baluster-form column and a wide circular base.
