This beautiful figurative group is wrought from terracotta finished with a warm and variegated patina. The group depicts two elephants—mother and baby. The elephants are superbly crafted, the folds and creases of their skin texturally wonderful, and their poses and postures naturalistic and expressive. Both elephants stand on an integral base which is monogrammed ‘EJM’ and signed ‘K.K.’
