Twenty-two silvered and gilt metal mounted agate pill boxes

This set is comprised of 22 boxes of differing sizes and shapes. The boxes range in shape from larger rectangular boxes set on ball feet to elongated elliptical boxes to small circular boxes. The boxes are formed of various specimens, including tiger’s eye, moss, blue agate, and lapis lazuli, each specimen being worked in a manner to demonstrate the natural veining of the stone. The boxes are mounted with silvered and gilt metal.
