The bowl is crafted in silver gilt, and features an inverted scalloped rim with twin handles styled as scrolled, upcurled flowers. The bowl is decorated all over in the intricate cloisonne enamel technique with polychrome flowers and mounted with semi precious stones. The handles are enameled in striped sections. The bowl is mounted onto a waisted socle base similarly enameled.
