Description

This extensive porcelain dinner service was made by the Meissen porcelain manufactory in Germany, and is painted with an array of elegant and decorative floral motifs, with underglaze blue crossed swords marks for the firm.

It comprises a huge array of pieces, including but not limited to: 14 flat plates, 10 soup plates, 10 dessert plates, 22 snack plates, 6 consommé cups with their plates, 2 circular legume bowls, 2 rectangular legume bowls, and 3 sauce boats (one with a presentation plate).

Made in German in the early 20th century, the marks date it to 1910, and thus to the bicentennary of this great firm. Commemorative of two-hundred years of production of the highest quality wares, this fine service set is a truly exceptional set.
