The set is comprised of a central mantel clock, flanked by a pair of vases. The clock features a vase-shaped clear cut glass body, which is set on a square ormolu (gilt bronze) base, placed on four toupie feet. The glass body is mounted at its centre with a circular metal dial, which feature black Roman Numerals. The dial is encircled by an ormolu foliate band with a beaded edge. The clock’s glass body is fitted with two ormolu handles, which take the form of scrolling, leafy grape vines. The mouth of the clock’s vase shaped body is mounted with an ormolu band, decorated with foliate patterns and beading.
Accompanying the mantel clock are a pair of vases, which are of similar design. These feature clear glass bodies on shaped stems, set on square ormolu bases. The vases’ bodies are finely cut with diamond patterns and drapery swags, and their necks are banded. They are mounted with ormolu handles, cast as leafy vines that scroll to enclose rosettes. The vases’ glass mouths are edged with ormolu.
