Crafted in the opulent but refined Belle Époque style, the chandelier is adorned with a plethora of ormolu and cut glass decorations.
The central stem features an unusual woven basket form. Above are several levels of palm tree leaves. Their non-uniform shapes give the piece a more realistic appearance. From each branch hang several clear cut glass droplets. The lower part of the chandelier is occupied by twelve arms, each one terminating with a drip pan and a light. The branches are cast in flowing shapes and are too adorned with delicate cut glass droplets.
The chandelier not only features light fixtures on the arms but also within the woven ormolu basket, illuminating the refined design above.
This superb piece would look wonderful with a chandelier of a very similar design available here.
