Description

The fine candelabra in this pair are crafted from porcelain and ormolu in the Neoclassical style. Each candelabrum features a bulbous vase-form green porcelain body, which is raised on a stepped ormolu base moulded with Neoclassical style motifs. Each candelabrum is set with twin handles, each modelled as a tied fabric swag, with the handles issuing from scrolled acanthus leaf ormolu mounts. The domed porcelain top of each is surmounted by the ormolu candelabrum head, which issues seven scrolled foliate branches. The undersides are marked with spurious Sèvres marks.
